🌟 SPANDAN - Empowering Women, Nurturing Kids

Life Skills + Creativity + Competition: We believe every child has an innate spark of imagination. Our mission is to ignite confidence, original thinking, and practical hands-on problem solving.

"And remember: It's not about being the best. It's about creating your best!"

"Parents are Facilitators, Not Creators"

Parents may encourage the child, explain the challenge, provide materials, and help with submission. The creation, idea, and expression must be the child's own authentic work.

Designed specifically for cognitive development, playful exploration, and inventive thinking across grades 1 to 10.

Classes:
Classes 1-2

MY IMAGINARY WORLD

🎨 Imagine It. Draw It. Share It!

Create your own magical world through drawing and imagination. Unleash boundless wonder onto paper!

Challenge Question:
"If you could create your own magical world, what would it look like?"
Idea Example: A child could draw a world called “Rainbow Land”, where houses float in the sky, trees have colourful fruits, animals can talk, and children travel in flying cars.

👉 The example is only to explain the idea. Children should create their own imaginary world.

Submission Format

📸 Photograph/scan of drawing + 2-3 sentences about the creation written by/for the child.

MAKE IT FROM WASTE

♻️ Don't Throw It. Create It!

Turn everyday waste materials into something useful, artistic, or wonderful. Celebrate sustainability!

Challenge Question:
"Can you turn something we normally throw away into something useful or wonderful?"
Idea Example: A child could take an empty cardboard box, old newspaper and ice-cream sticks and create a handy desk organiser for keeping pencils, crayons and stationery.

👉 Children can use any suitable waste/reusable materials available at home and create their own idea.

Submission Format

📸 2-3 photographs of the creation (different angles) + 5-7 lines explaining how it was made and used.

SOLVE A REAL PROBLEM

💡 See a Problem. Think of a Solution.

Identify a real-life problem around you and design your own innovative, practical solution.

Challenge Question:
"What is one problem you see around you that you would like to solve?"
Problem: Children often forget to carry their water bottles to school.
Idea: Design a “Smart Water Reminder” that reminds students to take their bottle before leaving home.
The child could draw the idea, explain how it works and, if possible, make a simple model.

👉 The child does not need to build a working machine. We are looking primarily for the child's thinking and creativity.

Submission Format

📄 Photograph/scan of idea/sketch + explanation; model/prototype optional.
